Bold Women Took Home the Gold at the Emmy’s

If you missed the Emmy’s last night, go home and watch your DVR! What an amazing night. Jane Lynch was HYSTERICAL, Melissa McCarthy took home her first Emmy amongst a bunch of great female comedians, and Kate Winslet added to her collection with an award for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a MiniSeries.”

McCarthy really stole the show, getting crowned with a pageant style tiara when she won her Emmy. Wow, she had some pretty stiff competition from Edie Falco to Tina Fey. She also had a very funny little dialogue with Amy Poehler, fellow nominee, about how tough it is for men to break their “glass ceiling.” Very funny!

Lynch was an all-star, of course. This leading lady has really started to take off over the past few years. We can’t wait to see which award show she’ll host next!

Other bold women winners include Julie Bowen for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy,” Margo Martindale for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama,” and Julianna Margulies for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama.”

Hooray for BOLD women :) I myself was pretty happy with the resultsof the Emmy’s last night! Of course the absolute best part was Melissa McCarthy’s win for “Mike & Molly” ! Talent like hers is rare, and I am so glad she was recongized for it :) Her speech was so touching, she had me crying right along with her. Congrats to you Melissa and to all the other winners!
